The Best Haircuts for Your Texture

Curly Hair

The very first rule when it comes to curly hair is..embrace it! Why fight it when you can flaunt it? Curly hair looks best when cropped to the face or a long cut with a special layered cut. When left long, curly hair needs to be cut differently with alternating lengths of layers to avoid the "rooftop" haircut.
Be sure to ask your stylist to show you exactly what product to use and how to utilize your diffuser to achieve frizz free curls.
When it comes to curly hair moisture is key. Be sure to use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner as well as avoid products with alcohol.

Straight Hair

Just because your hair is straight does not mean it needs to be lifeless! Layers are key here. Right now the style is the length above or slightly below the collarbone as currently shown on Jennifer Aniston. Face framing layers and fringe can do wonders for your face shape. Keep in mind to be careful with your locks! When using the flat iron be sure to use a heat protectant spray for dry hair. Right not we are absolutely loving Goldwell's Style Sign Sleek Perfection. It is an incredible thermal protectant that holds and has a shine, but does not leave hair greasy.

Wavy Hair

Lucky you! Wavy hair can look absolutely incredible when left to air dry or diffused. We strongly recommend TIGI Session Series Salt Spray. It will give your waves some major volume without leaving a crunchy or course feeling to your hair. If you have think hair try getting more layers during your next haircut. The shorter layers will remove the weight from the hair allowing for more movement throughout the hair.

If you have straight hair and are dying for a look like above, try some professional hot rollers. We are in love with the Babybliss Pro 1 1/2 inch hot rollers. Just don't forget the thermal protectant and professional hairspray!

Any questions on the right cut for you? Don't be afraid to consult throughly with your stylist. The more questions you ask the better!
